The UK is Actively Recruiting From Abroad

The UK has critical shortages in healthcare, technology, engineering and education. UK employers are legally authorised to sponsor international professionals to move to the UK under the Skilled Worker visa and Health and Care Worker visa.

over 125,000 organisations hold a sponsor licence, ranging from major NHS Trusts and global technology companies to universities, engineering firms and care providers. These employers can issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) that allows the Home Office to grant your visa.

The challenge is identifying which employers are on the register before you invest time in an application. Hiredge solves that automatically.

What You Need to Move to the UK for Work

A Job Offer From a Licensed Sponsor

The employer must be on the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors. Without a sponsor licence the employer cannot issue a Certificate of Sponsorship and your visa application cannot proceed. Hiredge verifies this for every job alert automatically, so every role in your inbox comes from an employer that is already on the register.

ยฃ

Meet the Salary Threshold

As of 2026 the minimum salary is ยฃ41,700 per year for most Skilled Worker roles. Healthcare roles have different thresholds set by the relevant pay scales, and some shortage occupation roles have lower minimums. Your offer letter must clearly state a salary at or above the threshold for your specific occupation code.

EN

English Language Requirement

New Skilled Worker applicants generally need English at CEFR level B2, including anyone switching from a different visa category such as a Graduate visa, even if you previously studied or worked in the UK. A lower B1 level applies only if you already held a Skilled Worker visa before 8 January 2026 and are extending or updating that same permission, or you are a qualifying Scale-up worker under the equivalent transitional protection. Nationals of majority English speaking countries and those who have completed a degree taught in English may be exempt. The acceptable tests and scores are set by the Home Office, not by Hiredge.
