1. Who We Are

Hiredge is operated by MacTech Global Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is available upon request. We operate the website hiredge.co.uk and all associated services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

Account data: Email address, name (if provided), when you create an account or set up job alerts.
Usage data: Browser fingerprint (used to enforce free tier limits), IP address, pages visited, and actions taken on the platform.
CV data: Text extracted from uploaded CVs when you use the CV tailoring tool. This is processed in real-time and not stored permanently unless you explicitly save it to your account.
Job alert preferences: Email, name, location preferences, job titles, salary preferences, and visa sponsorship requirements when you subscribe to job alerts.
Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Home Office register data: We process publicly available data from the UK Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors to power the visa sponsorship filter. This data contains employer names and locations only.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve our AI cover letter and CV tailoring tools
To send job alert emails to subscribers
To enforce free tier usage limits (via browser fingerprinting)
To manage subscriptions and billing via Stripe
To comply with legal obligations
To analyse usage patterns and improve the platform (via Google Analytics)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Contract:To provide the services you've signed up for
Legitimate interests: To improve our services, prevent abuse, and enforce usage limits
Consent: For marketing emails and analytics cookies (you can withdraw consent at any time)
Legal obligation: Where required by law

5. Data Retention

CV uploads: Deleted from our servers within 24 hours of upload, unless you have an account and explicitly save the document.
Job alert subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Account data: Retained for the lifetime of your account plus 30 days after deletion.
Usage analytics: Aggregated and anonymised after 90 days.

6. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

8. Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude AI):Text content you submit to our AI tools is processed by Anthropic's API. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com.
Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure.
Stripe: Payment processing. We never see or store your card details.
Resend: Transactional email delivery for job alerts and confirmations.
Adzuna: Job listing data used to power job alert emails.
UK Home Office: We download and process the publicly available Register of Licensed Sponsors to power the visa sponsorship filter.
