1. Who We Are

Hiredge is operated by MacTech Global Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is available upon request. We operate the website hiredge.co.uk and all associated services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of personal data:

Account data: Email address, name (if provided), when you create an account or set up job alerts.
Usage data: Browser fingerprint (used to enforce free tier limits), IP address, pages visited, and actions taken on the platform.
CV data: Text extracted from uploaded CVs when you use the CV tailoring tool. This is processed in real-time and not stored permanently unless you explicitly save it to your account.
Job alert preferences: Email, name, location preferences, job titles, salary preferences, and visa sponsorship requirements when you subscribe to job alerts.
Job application outcomes: If you use the Job Application Tracker, we may ask short, optional questions as an application progresses (for example, whether you were interviewed, received an offer, or were offered visa sponsorship). These answers are stored against your tracked application. You can skip any of these questions.
Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
Home Office register data: We process publicly available data from the UK Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors to power the visa sponsorship filter. This data contains employer names and locations only.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide and improve our AI cover letter and CV tailoring tools
To send job alert emails to subscribers
To enforce free tier usage limits (via browser fingerprinting)
To improve job matching and sponsorship accuracy using anonymised, aggregated application outcome data
To manage subscriptions and billing via Stripe
To comply with legal obligations
To analyse usage patterns and improve the platform (via Google Analytics)

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Consent: For marketing emails and analytics cookies (you can withdraw consent at any time)
Legal obligation: Where required by law

5. Free Lists and Guides You Ask For

When you ask us to email you a free resource, such as our list of UK tech employers licensed to sponsor Skilled Workers, we collect:

Your email address
Your first name and country, but only if you choose to give them
Whether you ticked the box to receive follow-up emails and, if you did, the exact wording you agreed to and the date and time you agreed
The page on our website where you signed up

We use this information to:

Email you a personal link to the resource you asked for. If you do not tick the follow-up box, this is the only email we send you.
If you tick the follow-up box, send you up to three further emails over about a week about finding UK visa sponsorship jobs. One of them tells you about Hiredge Pro.
Understand which pages and audiences find our resources useful, using the page you signed up on and the country you gave us.

Lawful basis: We send the resource because you asked for it (legitimate interests in providing what you requested). We send the follow-up emails only with your consent, which you give by ticking the box. The box is never ticked for you. We use the sign-up page and country for our legitimate interests in improving the service.

How long we keep it: We delete your sign-up 24 months after you signed up. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.

How to unsubscribe: Every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link. One click stops further emails straight away, and you do not need to log in. You can also email support@hiredge.co.uk. Unsubscribing does not stop your link to the resource from working.

6. Data Retention

CV uploads: Deleted from our servers within 24 hours of upload, unless you have an account and explicitly save the document.
Application Assistant documents: The documents you create with the Application Assistant (your tailored CV, cover letter or supporting statement, and the fit and sponsor checks) are saved to your account so you can reopen them from your Application Tracker. They are deleted when you delete that tracker entry or your account.
Job alert subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Account data: Retained for the lifetime of your account plus 30 days after deletion.
Usage analytics: Aggregated and anonymised after 90 days.

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hiredge.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use only these cookies:

Essential cookies: Required for the platform to work, such as keeping you signed in. These are always on.
Analytics cookies, only with your consent:Google Analytics 4, used to understand how people use Hiredge. Google Analytics does not load, and sets no cookies, unless you choose "Accept All" in the cookie banner.

We do not use advertising cookies. Your cookie choice is remembered on your device, and you can change it at any time from "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops and its cookies are removed.

9. Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude AI):Text content you submit to our AI tools is processed by Anthropic's API. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com.
Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure.
Stripe: Payment processing. We never see or store your card details.
Resend: Email delivery for job alerts, confirmations, the free resources you ask for, and follow-up emails you have agreed to receive.
Adzuna: Job listing data used to power job alert emails.
UK Home Office: We download and process the publicly available Register of Licensed Sponsors to power the visa sponsorship filter.
