For Indian professionals

UK Visa Sponsorship Jobs for Indian Professionals

Most UK employers cannot sponsor a visa. Too many Indian applicants spend weeks on applications, interviews and agent fees for jobs that could never lead to a visa, because the employer is not on the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors.

This page brings together everything we have for Indian professionals: which employers can sponsor you, what you need to earn, how nurses and graduates get there, and how to avoid fake offers.

Frequently asked questions

Can Indian nationals get UK visa sponsorship?

Yes. The Skilled Worker visa is open to any nationality. You need a job offer from an employer on the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors, a Certificate of Sponsorship, an eligible job, a salary that meets the rules and English at level B2.

What salary do I need for a UK Skilled Worker visa?

GOV.UK says you usually need the higher of £41,700 a year or the going rate for your job. Graduates, under 26s and some others can use a new entrant rate of 70% of the going rate, with a minimum of £33,400.

Which UK companies sponsor Indian IT professionals?

Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Deloitte and Capgemini are all on the Home Office register. Our guide to UK companies that sponsor Indian IT professionals links to each one's live sponsor status.

Can Indian nurses get a UK visa?

Yes. Nurses usually apply for the Health and Care Worker visa after registering with the NMC, which involves an English test, the CBT and the OSCE. The employer must be a licensed sponsor.

I am on a Graduate visa. Can I switch to a Skilled Worker visa?

Yes, from inside the UK, as long as you have a sponsored job offer and apply before your Graduate visa expires. The Graduate visa cannot be extended, so the free Graduate Visa Switch Planner helps you plan around your end date.

How can I tell if a UK job offer is fake?

Never pay for a job or a Certificate of Sponsorship. UK sponsor guidance prohibits sponsors from passing sponsorship fees on to workers. Check the employer on the Sponsor Checker and contact it using details from its own website.

How often is your sponsor data updated?

We check the Home Office Register of Licensed Sponsors every working day, so the Sponsor Checker and the verified badges on jobs reflect the latest published register.
