Why healthcare workers need to check sponsorship status
The NHS is the UK's largest employer of internationally recruited staff. Thousands of nurses, doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists, radiographers, and other healthcare professionals are sponsored each year under the Health and Care Worker Visa and Skilled Worker Visa routes.
While NHS foundation trusts are almost universally licensed sponsors, some smaller NHS bodies, GP practices, dental practices, and independent healthcare providers may not hold a sponsor licence.
